Project Management/problem solving Job Description and Profile
Project Management and problem solving is the core activity, which is the application of skills, knowledge, techniques, and tools throughout the project activities to achieve the predetermined objectives of quality, scope, cost, and time, to the equal expectations of those involved. On the whole, project manager is responsible for the coordination, direction, implementation, control and completion, execution of specific projects consistently with company strategy, goals and commitments. Project Managers use experience/training of QC to maintain a track of project deliverables and resources.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Factory audit to ensure that the new product developments and project starts are with the most suitable supplier.
· Managing project development and execution from instauration to closure.
· Working with factory for project plan and charter outlining goals, material, timing, deliverables, project scope, and required resources.
· Completing work breakdown structure for the estimation of efforts needed for each task.
· Preparing and providing a project schedule to all participants to indentify the commencement of their tasks.
· Communicating clearly the expectations to supplier and Interstils QC team members.
· Resolving issues and solving problems throughout the production cycle.
· Determining the requirement of Interstil resources to accomplish the project plan, ask for recruiting and managing appropriate staffing if required.
· Tracking and reporting project milestones and providing status reports to Interstil GM and relevant Product manager in Denmark.
· Leading, coaching, and motivating members of QC team on a positive basis.
· Determining the test results of furniture and completing post-project evaluations to determine the expected results and make action plans for problem solving issues.
· Developing tools and applying best practices for the execution and production management.
· Ensuring successful archive of product documents after the production is completed.
Skills and Specifications
· Knowledge of Furniture production, Furniture construction and can read technical drawings and management tools.
· Ability to operate well in fast-paced, collaborative environment.
· Operational, technical furniture and management skills.
· Must be a good communicator.
· Leadership qualities and excellent problem-solving ability.
Education and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Furniture or Technology related field from an accredited institution.
· 5-10 years hand-on experience in the furniture industries from Asia.
