Job Title: External QC, Product Development and Warehouse Control Assistant , Neptune Asia
Reporting to: External QC Manager, Neptune Asia (South)
Purpose of role: Executing regular furniture QC checks for all external factory orders, ensuring all problems are dealt with swiftly and making clear reports to the UK. Monitoring progress, chasing up and reporting on factory product development projects. Assisting in the smooth running of deliveries in and out of the warehouse.
Working hours: 8am-6pm and flexible with overtime where necessary
Key responsibilities:
QC
• Ensuring QC issues are communicated quickly and clearly to the relevant factories and monitoring the progress of solving these issues
• Following a QC checklist to ensure our standard is adhered to and reporting on each QC visit, dealing with any QC issues as they arise
• Planning of QC visits to factories using information regarding orders provided by our ordering system I-link
• Updating and monitoring of an External QC log involving documenting of problems and solved dates against a PO number
• Ensuring relevant materials are delivered to the factories for production and samples such as fabrics
• Assisting with stock check of materials such as fabrics
• Informing the UK of any delivery delays caused by QC failure
• Assisting the External QC manager with any adhoc projects
Product Development
• Executing and reporting external new product development involving the chasing of samples, communicating the revisions clearly and shipping of samples within deadlines
• Checking the samples match the drawing’s dimensions and design
• Reporting and photographing samples for the UK to sign off
• Testing samples
• Assisting on pricing of samples
• Ensuring clear instructions are made for the samples and test the instructions can be followed
Warehouse Control
• Maintaining the organisation of the warehouse
• Assisting with the 3-weekly stock check
• Checking in and out deliveries, ensuring delivery notes are clear and match the purchase orders
• Adhering to the system for checking in goods
• Assisting in ensuring the warehouse rules are followed
