BASIC FUNCTION
Under general supervision, the Sales Executive–Design Consultant, Mark David will support the selling process by assisting the KCI sales organization in working with commercial and hospitality customers, being the expert on furniture, furniture design, hospitality furnishings and the Mark David quote and order process. In addition this individual will train Kohler China field sales associates on technical issues related to the furniture industry. Furthermore, the Sales Executive Design Consultant – Mark David is the furniture product expert for the field sales organization and will leverage that expertise to bring value to our customers.
Other competencies associated with primary function and scope is as follows:
•Ability to work independently, schedule time effectively, work remotely using technology appropriately.
•Work across functionally across regions and with al levels of the KCI sales organization and Mark David in Cebu City
•Set strong examples through work product, attitude, technical skills, and project management tools/philosophies used.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Ability to comfortably interact with sophisticated technical and executive positions such as: commercial and hospitality developers, property managers, specifying engineers, designers, etc.
2.Demonstrates current and detailed knowledge and understanding of the competitive environment. Adds value to the organization by recommending and implementing effective strategies for addressing competitive threats and trends.
3.Ability to effectively train internal associates and external customers on product components and customized product applications.
4.Ability to understand and employ the Mark David quote and order process.
5.Capable of influencing internal and external associates at all organizational levels.
6.Builds and maintains effective, long-term relationships with KCI sales teams, mark David associates and significant influencers and owners in the hospitality industry. .
7.Makes recommendations to KCI Sales organization and Mark David based upon input from the sales force and customer needs.
8.Applies technical expertise and sales knowledge in direct support of customers.
9.Differentiates Kohler Co. and mark David from its competition daily by working with customers to uncover and create unique solutions using multiple product lines, Kohler resources, and other tools available.
10.Provides technical support in the writing of customer proposals.
11.Participates in development of strategy for sales growth within targeted customer and product segments.
12.Develops and delivers joint sales presentations to customers.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Organization Relationships:
•Works closely with KCI Field Sales and Mark David Philippines Office and Kohler China Sales Training.
External Relationships:
•Has frequent contact with customers by phone and in person.
•Keeps abreast of developments in the industry including competitive product and strategy focus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
•Prefer furniture industry experience, knowledge of the hospitality build and source process.
•Ideally some skills in design, understand drawings, dimensions.
•Ability to measure, sketch accurately.
•Some sales or influencing skills desirable. Able to work independently.
