Job Title: Merchandiser
Department/Group: Sourcing & Purchasing Depart.
Line Manager: Depart. Manager
Location: Shanghai Office
Primary Responsibilities
1 Cooperate with UK product manager to work with either existing supplier /new sourced supplier on OEM/ODM product development
2 Accompany UK product manager on far east buying trip(every 2-3 month)
3 Sample order, purchase order, inspection schedule, shipping documents management
4 Manage sample production with supplies to catch up photo shooting schedule
5 Prepare requests for deposit and final payments
6 Prepare and send packaging guideline, product labels & shipping marks to supplier
7 Monitor supplier production schedules and shipment performance
8 Distribute supplier key performance indicator (KPI) data monthly to suppliers, and work out CAP on continuously improvement
9 Proactively source, identify, evaluate new suppliers where business needs
10 Supplier payment term, price reduction, MOQ, quality claim, delay penalty negotiation
Main Requirements
1 Four (4) year degree in international trade, supply chain management or business management from a qualified university
2 Minimum five (5) years work experience managing suppliers for a trading company/European buying office in Asia
3 Minimum five (5) years work experience in the furniture category-Dining, lounge, home office, bedroom, kid’s furniture
4 Solid knowledge of ERP systems and logic, specifically supply chain ERP modules
5 Possesses extensive supplier negotiation skills and strategies
6 Highly organized with strong task follow-up capabilities
7 Strong inter-personal, communication and negotiation skills
8 Fluent spoken/written English and Chinese
9 Continuous learner and open to change
10 Possesses ability to create, improve and follow work processes
11 Good team player and willing to cooperate with cross function such as: quality, engineer, supply chain, finance
